Heretics Cup 2024: Hosted By Mokens League and sponsored by Team Heretics.

Tournament Description:

Number of Players:
The tournament will have a limited capacity of 16 players. Players can register until (Tuesday, August 6th at 11:50 PM UTC). *If there is high demand, the tournament may be extended to 32 players.

Dates:
1 Day — Wednesday, August 7th (Time: 9:30 PM UTC).

Format:
The tournament will follow a double-elimination format with 16 participants. Starting with 16 players, a bracket will be created where each player will play against an opponent in a best-of-two (Bo2) match, resulting in 8 winners and 8 losers. The 8 winners will advance to the upper bracket, and the 8 losers will go to the lower bracket. This will lead to a final in the upper bracket and a final in the lower bracket, where the winners of both finals will face each other in the Grand Final. This Grand Final will be a best-of-five (Bo5) match, and the player from the upper bracket will start with a 1–0 advantage. Thus, a maximum of 4 matches will be played, avoiding server differences and granting the advantage to the upper bracket player.

Details:
All matches will be best-of-two (Bo2), meaning there will be a home and away match. The player with the goal difference advantage will advance. In case of a tie in matches won and goal difference, a third match will be played to determine the winner of that bracket. To determine the server for this third match, a coin toss will be used. All matches will have a duration of 2 minutes per half, and the golden goal rule will apply.

Definition of Double Elimination: A double-elimination tournament is a competition format where a participant must lose twice to be eliminated. This means that each player or team has the opportunity to continue competing even after a loss. The tournament is divided into two brackets: the main bracket (where players compete initially) and the elimination bracket (where those eliminated from the main bracket have a chance to continue playing).

Time Tolerance with Opponents:
A maximum of 10 minutes (If the opponent does not show up or disconnects without justification, the other player will automatically qualify with a result of 3 (Goals for) and 0 (Goals against) in each group stage match.

Players Desconections:
If a user intentionally disconnects from a match, the match will be replayed taking into account the previous score. If, after replaying the match, the player disconnects a second time, the user will automatically lose the match with a 10–0 score against them. The same applies if they disconnect for the first time and do not intend to play the second match. The validity of these rules will always be supported by the corresponding evidence (screenshots, videos).

Platform: Players can participate on either mobile devices (iOS or Android) or PC.

Requirements and Dissemination:
The semifinals and final of the Heretics Cup will be streamed. Players must be able to broadcast their match on the Mokens League Discord server’s voice channel, and Mokens League will re-broadcast it from the official Twitch channel.

Dissemination will also be done on Mokens League’s social media, allowing Mokens League to use the content for dissemination and marketing on our networks.

Reward Distribution:
Rewards will be distributed once the event is over. Due to the magnitude of the event and the rewards, Mokens League will take up to 10 days to distribute the corresponding rewards to each user.

All users who are breaking this rule will be disqualified from the tournament being held in the application on the current date without exception.
